Our Story

Started with an argument.
Ended up a league.

QuestMingle began in 2024 when two friends argued for an hour about whose fictional basketball lineup would beat whose. What followed was a spreadsheet, a sim engine, and a very long series of lunches.

How it started

Imogen and Kwame built the first prototype the following weekend — a spreadsheet that somehow made it feel like a real match. The sim engine grew from that spreadsheet, the player pool was invented over a series of very long lunches, and Coach Reckoner was named after a tram stop nobody can remember visiting.

They launched quietly, told a few mates, and the Coach-Elect community did the rest. Today QuestMingle is free, fun, and unapologetically Australian in its refusal to take any of this too seriously.

No real money has ever changed hands on this platform. No cash prizes have ever been offered. No purchases have ever been required. The whole thing costs you nothing except time and a bit of cap-maths brain power — which is the whole point.

The Coaching Staff

Five people built this. Here they are.

Imogen Trelawney

Co-Founder & Product Lead

Imogen spent seven years building mobile sports experiences before deciding she'd rather invent her own league. She designed the Mingle Cap system on a whiteboard and hasn't stopped tweaking it since.

Kwame Asante

Co-Founder & Sim Engineer

Kwame wrote the Coach Reckoner engine from scratch over three weekends in 2021. He holds strong opinions about team chemistry models and even stronger opinions about cold brew coffee.

Head of Design

Paloma came from a background in sports broadcast graphics. She built QuestMingle's orange-and-teal visual language in a week and jokes that she's never worked faster in her life.

Community & Social

Declan runs the QuestMingle weekly newsletter and moderates the Coach-Elect forums. He's drafted over 400 fantasy rosters for 'research'. He stands by all of them.

Data & Analytics

Amara models the projection curves that make Coach Reckoner tick. She's the reason the AI feels competitive without being unfair — a balance she describes as 'deeply personal'.

QuestMingle is free social fantasy entertainment for adults aged 18+. It is not a real-money gambling product, a licensed DFS service, or affiliated with any real sporting league or organisation. All players, clubs, and statistics are entirely fictional. Nothing is sold on this platform.
